Embracing Taiwan’s classic good taste, the brand concept of the company was based on the Taiwanese vintage grocery store “Kám-á-tiàm” – originates from the founder’s travels between Taiwan and the United States during his youth.Later, he gradually realized that occasional remote supplies were not sufficient to satisfy the nostalgic taste buds of wanderers abroad, as well as experiencing the bitterness of Taiwanese working alone abroad. Taiwanese cuisine became indissoluble bonds with the founder after giving up his position as a Hi-tech engineer and embarking on a new journey to share the good taste of Taiwan and comfort overseas citizens.
We are committed to introducing more good food from Taiwan to food lovers in the United States, whether you’re looking for classic Taiwanese delicacies, natural farming from Taiwan’s small farmers, or souvenirs from your hometown. Moreover, to ensure the quality, price, and authenticity of each product, we cooperate with local manufacturers and farmers’ associations in Taiwan to insist on sharing real good memories, as well as actively letting more people know about and recognize Taiwan’s good brands and tastes.
Fulfilling the wishes of all diners is the greatest motivation for iTaiwanFoods to move forward. Although it seems tough to move forward in the global epidemic, the founder insisted on opening the “Kám-á-tiàm” concept store, iTaiwanFoods – the store connects Chinese immigrants’ hearts and stomachs, in Southern California and Northern California in 2021. And it received strong support and good feedback from local customers.
The journey of gourmet hunting has not been easy, but the founder always learned from setbacks quickly and built a dream-food hunting team. Together with the team, iTaiwanFoods will continue to find the most needed and missed
flavors for diners, and we look forward to sharing more good tastes of Taiwan with Chinese Americans.
